Shipping, Returns & Exchange Policy

Exchange Policy (No Returns)

The Modest Kart does not offer returns. Exchange is permitted only under specific conditions.

1. Eligibility for Exchange

An exchange request will be accepted only if the product is damaged, defective, or incorrectly delivered.

2. Exchange Request Time Limit

• Exchange requests must be raised within 3 days (72 hours) from the date of delivery.

• Requests submitted after this period will not be accepted under any circumstances.

3. Conditions for Exchange

To qualify for exchange:

  • The product must be unused, unworn, and unwashed.

  • Original tags, packaging, and invoice must be intact.

  • Customers must provide clear photographic or video evidence showing the damage, defect, or incorrect item.

4. Mandatory Proof Requirement (Unboxing Evidence)

To process any exchange request, customers must provide an unboxing video or clear images taken at the time of opening the package, showing:

  • The shipping label

  • The product condition

  • The specific damage, defect, or incorrect item

Requests without valid proof may be rejected at our discretion.

5. Exchange Process

  1. Contact us within 3 days of delivery with your order number and proof of the issue.

  2. Our team will review the request.

  3. If approved, we will initiate the exchange process and provide further instructions.

  4. Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the same product is unavailable, an alternative product or store credit may be offered at our discretion.

6. Non-Eligible Cases for Exchange

Exchange will not be accepted for:

  • Change of mind

  • Size or fit concerns

  • Color or design preferences

  • Damage caused by customer handling

  • Requests raised after the 3-day window

  • Claims without valid unboxing proof

Shipping & Return-to-Origin (RTO) Policy

7. Delivery Attempts

Our courier partners generally make 2–3 delivery attempts. If the customer is unavailable or unreachable, the shipment may be marked Return to Origin (RTO) and sent back to us.

8. Re-Shipping of Returned Parcels

If a prepaid order is returned due to customer unavailability, incorrect address, refusal to accept delivery, or failure to coordinate with the courier, the customer will be required to pay the applicable re-shipping charges for re-dispatch.

9. Refund for Returned Prepaid Orders

If the customer requests a refund after the parcel is returned to us, the refund will be processed after deducting shipping, packaging, and handling charges incurred during dispatch.

Additional Policy Information

10. Minor Variations

Slight variations in color, texture, or appearance may occur due to lighting during photography, screen resolution, or fabric dye batches. Such minor differences do not qualify as defects and will not be eligible for exchange.

11. Liability After Successful Delivery

Once the parcel is marked as delivered by the courier partner, The Modest Kart will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced packages. Customers are requested to ensure that the delivery address is secure and someone is available to receive the parcel.

12. Parcel Opening & Missing Item Claims

Customers are strongly advised to record a clear unboxing video while opening the parcel, starting from the moment the sealed package with the shipping label is visible.

The video should clearly show:

  • The sealed package before opening

  • The shipping label

  • The entire unboxing process without cuts or edits

  • The product received inside the parcel

Claims regarding missing items, incorrect items, or empty parcels will only be considered if a proper unboxing video is provided.

The Modest Kart reserves the right to reject claims where sufficient proof is not available.

13. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

By placing an order on our website, the customer agrees to The Modest Kart’s Shipping, Exchange, and Store Policies.

Customers are encouraged to contact our support team first for any issues regarding their order. Initiating false payment disputes, chargebacks, or claims without valid proof after successful delivery or policy violation may lead to the customer being restricted from future purchases with The Modest Kart.

We reserve the right to present shipment records, delivery confirmation, and policy terms to the payment provider in case of disputes.
